Summary:
Wesley United Methodist Church has an opening for a pianist/organist to fill a Music Associate position.
Wesley is a large suburban church (outside of Augusta) offering 4 worship services each Sunday morning.
Principal job responsibilities will be as Pianist/organist for choral ensembles, soloists and congregational music in all traditional worship settings.
Candidates should possess exceptional accompanying ability as well as excellent sight-reading skills, be ministry minded and fully committed to serving in the work of the church.
Other duties may be assigned depending on the skill set of the person who is selected.
Rehearsals take place on Wednesday and Sunday evenings.
In addition to regular Sunday services the candidate will also be expected to play for all special services for the church year such as Ash Wednesday or Good Friday.
Salary will be commensurate with the person's experience and abilities.
