Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sr.
Finance Partner to join our rapidly growing Club Car business.
The role is responsible and accountable to lead cross functional teams to deliver new Club Car products to market following our structured phase-gate process.
This role ensures new products achieve business / financial objectives established at project approval.
Your Role:
Budgeting / Forecasting / Reporting Be responsible for overall financial controlling of Engineering spend and act as a business partner to Engineering management.
Provide analysis of monthly, quarterly, and yearly actual vs forecast spending for departmental budgets and NPD project portfolio.
Deep dive mix of spending per project vs.
forecast monthly.
Analysis should include spending variances by function (Eng.
, PM, GISC) by project vs forecasts (AOP, Quarterly forecasts, G2 etc.
) Provide weekly summary report of spending by project.
Reporting should include analysis of open purchase orders vs.
invoices received by project and follow up on previously accrued amounts to ensure re-accrual occurs if needed.
Work closely with Project Management Organization (PMO) and Accounts Payable to ensure invoices are tied to POs and CER for monthly reporting.
Lead development of quarterly budget and portfolio forecasts (3+9, 6+6, 9+3) Work closely with PMO and Engineering leadership to develop Annual Operating Plan for NPD project portfolio and departmental budgets.
Ensure alignment of budgets / forecasts presented to finance leadership and loaded into financial tools with Engineering leadership.
Conduct internal and external benchmarks to identify areas for further improvement.
Develop scalable and efficient financial processes to support engineering needs.
Product / Standard Cost Finance Team member to provide monthly standard cost comparison once released in MAPICs.
Analysis should include a deep dive of changes that have occurred in BOM month to month.
Provide insight into standard cost rolls each year.
Make recommendation to project teams as to level of standards increases that should be incorporated into product cost.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate technical or business-based field Experience in automotive industry and product related knowledge Strong coaching, influencing and negotiation skills where resources may not be in direct control of this role Must be a team player, must demonstrate a willingness to work with and assist colleagues, focusing on continuous improvement of project quality and processes PMP Certified preferred Other important skills:
